Now available for the first time in bottles, Beach Bum Blonde Ale, an all-malt, traditional American blonde ale, is just the thing to refresh beach bums traveling to the coastline or those who prefer to stay home, to sip poolside.

The blonde ale, which draws its deep golden color from a choice selection of pale and caramel roasted barley malt, is brewed with imported Alsace and Hallertau hops, as well as Cascade hops from the Pacific Northwest. Using a dry-hopping technique, hops are not only added to the brew kettle, but also included in the aging tank, giving the specialty beer its distinct and pronounced hop aroma.

“We’re once again very excited to bring adults such a refreshing, easy-to-drink brew for adults to enjoy this summer,” said Florian Kuplent, brewmaster, Anheuser-Busch, Inc. “Whether you’re enjoying Beach Bum Blonde Ale on draught at your favorite restaurant or by the bottle at home in the backyard, the pleasant hop aroma and slightly spicy and malty taste make this beer the perfect match for the hot summer months.”

Following its availability in draught last summer, Beach Bum Blonde Ale was awarded a bronze medal in the blonde ale category at the 2006 North American Beer Awards. Adults nationwide will be able to enjoy this summer seasonal again on draught at their favorite bar or restaurant until September and for the first time this year, they will also be able to savor it at home or on the beach in 12-ounce bottles available at grocery and convenience stores.

Beach Bum Blonde Ale’s slight malty sweetness makes it a delicious complement to summertime fare, including barbecue dishes, fresh salads and fish. To best showcase its deep, golden color, pour and enjoy this seasonal ale in a pub-style glass.

At 5.4 percent alcohol by volume (ABV), Beach Bum Blonde Ale is brewed at Anheuser-Busch’s Fort Collins, Colo., brewery. It is the fourth offering in Anheuser‑Busch’s series of seasonal beers, which includes Jack’s Pumpkin Spice Ale, Winter’s Bourbon Cask Ale and Spring Heat Spiced Wheat.
